Launch of NDLP & Collection of Personal Learning Device

Dear Parents/ Guardians

After months of planning and preparation, the school finally rolled out the National Digital Literacy Programme (NDLP). And after much anticipation, Sec 1 and 2 students finally collected their Personal Learning Devices (PLDs) this morning. Our teachers, IT and support staff guided the students through the on-boarding process that involved students checking their PLDs and registering them using their assigned ID and password.

Following the on-boarding process, students were also given time to place their PLDs in the lockers that school provided for all Sec 1 and 2 students. Here are the highlights of the PLD collection and on-boarding process:

More Updates on NDLP

Having collected their PLDs yesterday, students brought them to school to start their first of learning with PLDs.

While most students came in with their PLDs in the laptop bags issued by the school, several others have switched to their own laptop sleeves.

At the start of the day, students were briefed on the Acceptable Use Policy to emphasis the PLDs in meaningful and responsible manner. And at the end of the day, just before CCAs, students were reminded to store their PLDs in their personal lockers before going for CCAs. They were also reminded to bring them home at the end of the day. These are indeed new routines that students have to get used. However, they are adjusting well to these routines and majority have little or no issue at all. Here are photos showing students placing their PLDs into their lockers before CCAs.
