The school recently embarked on a project on virtual reality (VR) in the classrooms in Term 3, which aims to supplement the student’s understanding of the lessons learnt in there. This initiative is undertaken as part of the school’s applied learning programme (ALP), and a select few teachers and classes were enrolled to pilot it.
It encourages collaboration work amongst the students, after the lesson was taught in-proper by the teacher. Overall, it was well received by the teachers who piloted the VR project as they found it useful in their lessons. And as for the students in general, they find it unique, are able to comprehend what is taught earlier during the lessons and they thoroughly enjoyed the new learning experience!
Moving forward, the school plans to continue with VR as part of the school’s curriculum-programme from 2020. Exciting times ahead!
